About By His Grace™
Welcome to BHG! So glad you're here. My name is Natalie and I am the owner, founder and CEO. Let me tell you the story behind BHG.
I was very blessed to grow up in a Christian home. For as long as I can remember, my dad has been the biggest spiritual influence in my life. He brought us up to know, serve and love the Lord with all our heart. It was not until 2019 that I found Christ for myself - and that is how BHG began.
During my sophomore year of college, I experienced an immense amount of heartbreak and loneliness, in addition to the loss of my grandmother. It was that hurt and sadness that brought me to my knees and the only direction left I had to look, was up… towards God! I made a personal commitment to Christ and decided to really surrender to the Lord, let him take control... I was ready to go all in! He used a challenging time to change my life for the better and it was through those hardships that pushed me to begin sharing my testimony with others.
I was only 19 at the time, but I wanted to find a unique and inspiring way to share my renewed heart + the Gospel with others, only I didn’t know how. I never intended to start an apparel shop or a business for that matter... but I did already have a little jewelry business (just for fun).
I was on a flight in 2020, when the idea of BHG first came to mind. I decided I wanted to create a real business, with more than jewelry, on my own website, under a brand new name that was inspired by faith. The name By His Grace came to me on that flight totally by God. After I got home from my trip, I started to build the site you are on right now. By God’s grace and guidance, I was able to launch shopbyhisgrace.com in the Summer of 2020. One summer later, I hopped on the graphic-tee trend and was screen-printing tees and sweatshirts.
After graduating college, I moved to Atlanta, GA to start my professional career as a full-time sales rep. I still work full-time to this day with the same company. I began making more and more shirts after work and the business started to take off on Instagram.
After three years in Atlanta, I relocated to work remotely in South Carolina. One day I hope to take BHG full-time as a ministry and online store with a team to help make this dream a reality.
I would not be where I am today without the guidance of God and I hope to share that through my business. Being able to share my creative gift and my love for the Lord with others is a blessing and my greatest joy. BHG has made it to 2024 not by my own efforts, but by God’s grace and mercy. I hope you too will be inspired and feel the love of Jesus through BHG.
In Christ, Natalie
